Digitales Summit 2018

11Jul 2018

About event

Digitales Summit 2018 brings together CEOs, innovators and policymakers to discuss the challenges of driving a digital economy and its implications at home and overseas. The summit is the first of its kind in Spain and will support items that are high on the country's national agenda, such as reform to job creation, increased productivity and the removal of trade barriers to increase ICT's share of GDP.

It's members are the 39 leading companies in Spain in the fields of telecommunications, technology and innovation, and consulting. These companies are responsible for a turnover of €47 billion in Spain - 4% of the country's GDP - as well as an annual investment of €5.6 million and a further €2.1 billion per year in research and development (R&D).

At the summit, Avast's Security Evangelist Luis Corrons will be discussing how companies can build resilience and manage the threat of cyberattacks as they become more high profile and damaging to public and private sector organisations. He will also be talking about how to establish a cross-sector response to cyber risk and how the industry can build better barriers against an increasing danger.
