Speaker Biography
Greg Mosher is VP of Engineering at Avast and has nearly 20 years of experience in the anti-malware industry starting in the early 90s when he created his first antivirus engine as both developer and researcher. In his current role at Avast, Greg leads product management and R&D for all AVG Business by Avast products.
He returned to the industry in 2003 with the emergence of Adware/Spyware taking a lead development role with PestPatrol, Inc. From there he co-founded Exploit Prevention Labs in 2005 and developed LinkScanner, one of the first anti-exploit products targeted at protecting users while online from a variety of threats delivered through web.
Prior to Avast’s acquisition of AVG Technologies in September 2017, Greg led AVG’s anti-exploit efforts expanding into backend security services since joining in 2007 and eventually leading engineering for all AVG’s business-facing products.
