Avast announces admission to FTSE 100 index

Avast Plc (“Avast”), a global leader in digital security products, is pleased to announce its maiden admission to the FTSE 100 index, effective today.

Avast joined the London Stock Exchange in May 2018 and became a constituent of the FTSE 250 in 2018. Admission to the FTSE 100 follows the June 2020 review by FTSE Russell.

Ondrej Vlcek, CEO of Avast, commented: “We are pleased to become a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index, one of the world’s leading indices, having gone public on the LSE only two years ago.

Over the past thirty years, Avast has grown from a visionary start-up to become a global leader in digital security and privacy products with over 435 million users worldwide. Today’s promotion to the FTSE 100 marks another milestone in our growth and recognition of our success in providing award winning products to keep people safe and private in a fast evolving digital world.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers, employees and shareholders, without whom we wouldn’t be where we are today. We look forward to the future with a great deal of optimism.”
